Adam Bowden

ADAM BOWDEN


Adam has been a successful athlete for many years, winning the English Schools, and National under 20, under 23 and senior steeplechase titles. Adam has represented England and the Great Britain at the Commonwealth Games, European Championships, Europa Cup, and European Cross-country championships.

In September 2008 Adam switched to triathlon to exploit his running capabilities and strong swimming background (Adam has always been a good swimmer, clocking 58 seconds for 100 metres). In 2008 Adam recorded some impressive running results and was third fastest in the national cross-country relays and his five-mile time of 23min40sec (set in November) ranks him as second in the UK for 2008 over this distance.

In 2009 Adam recorded some impressive results with numerous victories and a 2nd place finish at Windsor, whilst finishing 3rd overall in the 2009 Triathlon British Super Series whilst starting his quest to achieve his ambitious target of competing at the London 2012 Olympics in Triathlon.

Late in 2009 Adam became part of British Triathlon’s Tri Gold scheme, an exciting initiative to fast track athletes with a proven ability in running into international triathletes in time for London 2012.
   
Scott Neyedli

SCOTT NEYEDLI


Pro Ironman triathlete Scott first entered the world of competition through team sports such as football or rugby before turning focus to his first passion, swimming where he become a competent club level swimmer who would regularly medal at regional championships and make national finals.


At the age of 26 Scott entered the world of triathlon winning numerous national titles and representing Great Britain as a Professional triathlete on numerous occasions and became the first Briton to win the International Ironman UK triathlon event.

Scott is now recognized as one of the worlds leading Ironman triathletes with numerous podium finishes.

Martin Jensen

MARTIN JENSEN


Danish ITU triathlete Martin Jensen turned to Triathlon in 2004 after many years as part of the Danish National Swim Programme. Martin has recorded many notable results particularly in 2009 where he received the Bronze medal at the ITU Long Distance World Championships in Perth, Australia and was crowned Danish Long Distance Champion.

2010 has started strongly for Martin, where he recorded an impressive 6th place at the Wildflower triathlon coming in just behind the likes of Rasmus Henning, Eneko Llanos and Michael Raelert.
   
Georgie Rutherford

GEORGIE RUTHERFORD


Georgie is an age-group athlete who at the end of 2009 demonstrated her clear potential by finishing tenth overall at the 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater to became World Champion in the 25-29 age-group. Her time of 04:15:52 was just over 16 minutes slower than Julie Dibens world record breaking time of 03:59:33. Georgie races across the various distances and was the national age group champion at Olympic distance in 2006.

2010 has started strongly for Georgie, she won the Little Beaver Olympic distance triathlon in a time of 2.18, some 8 minutes quicker than the 2nd place finisher.

Georgie doesn't get a lot of time away from triathlon as she also works for the British Triathlon Federation as a regional development manager. Amongst many other things, Georgie works with schools to help get more children involved in triathlon.
   
Eimar Mullan

EIMEAR MULLAN


Eimear started cycling in 2007 to keep her fitness up when coping with a running injury.  Soon after she decided to take on the challenge of triathlon and is now beginning her second competitive season in the sport.

Eimear has recorded some impressive results so far this year including 1st at the Irish Duathlon Championships and 3rd at the British Elite Duathlon Championships.

Eimear's sporting background stems from Tetrathlon (similar to Modern Pentathlon) and she has represented both Northern Ireland and the UK in the sport.

Her future goals are to progress towards competing at elite level in triathlons and she plans to compete in some half ironman competitions.
   
Joel Jameson

JOEL JAMESON


Joel has been competing in triathlon for five years. Before triathlon he was a capable rower for 5 years, which set strong physical and mental foundations for the sport of Triathlon.

Joel started triathlon for one reason and one reason only, and that was to become an IRONMAN! He achieved that goal in only his 4th triathlon at the inaugural Ironman UK 2005.

Joel has since stepped down in distance from the Ironman and in 2008 Joel recorded results such as 5th at the UK 70.3, 8th at Antwerp 70.3, 1st at Ashbourne duathlon, and 33rd professional at the World Championships Ironman 70.3, Florida.

In 2009 Joel became the Vitruvian Champion and qualified for the 70.3 World Championships with an impressive performance at Antwerp 70.3.

Joel’s aims for the next few years are to win an Ironman 70.3 event and to continue ‘mixing it up’ at the front of the pack at Ironman 70.3 World Championships.

   
Ritchie Nicholls

RITCHIE NICHOLLS


Ritchie is a promising triathlete representing his country at Junior level and at just 23 already boasts an impressive record: 2nd at the Junior Duathlon World Championship in 2005, fourth at Under 23 World Triathlon Championship 2007, winning the Under 23 European Triathlon Championship in 2007 and bronze in the Under 23 World Duathlon Championship in 2008.

In 2008 Ritchie has decided to re-focus his sporting efforts on 10K running and took a short break from triathlon but is now back on the British Triathlon Performance Scheme.

Ritchie started 2010 in strong form by being crowned the 2010 GE Strathclyde Park ITU Triathlon European Cup Champion with a time of 01.50.34.
   
Todd Leckie

TODD LECKIE


Todd is a leading ITU triathlete. In 2008 Todd recorded some excellent results including 4th place at the World U23 Triathlon Championships, 1st place at the British Universities Triathlon Championships, 3rd in the British Elite Sprint Triathlon Championships, and 4th place at the Malibu International Triathlon.

Todd is part of the British Triathlon Olympic Development Squad (level E).
